Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna believes an unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAP) penetrated the airspace at her former air base.
The far-right Republican, 36, recalled a strange “airspace incursion” that occurred during her time in the Oregon Air National Guard on a recent episode of Joe Rogan’s podcast.
Luna was working as an airfield manager at the Portland Air National Guard Base when an unauthorized object entered the airspace. Luna tried to ask the pilots what they saw, but they refused.
“They’re like, ‘Eh, we can’t really talk about it.’ And no one really wanted to address it,” she said, adding that one pilot said they couldn’t “really identify” whatever they saw in the sky.
Rogan, 58, suggested the incident could have been a foreign military’s plane or something classified, but Luna recalled how one of the pilots seemed shaken by the experience. Thus, she concluded the incursion was an unidentified anomalous phenomenon, or UAP — formerly known as UFOs.
“No one really wanted to address it, and so from what I gathered, that had likely been a UAP,” she said. “So that kind of was my perspective.”

Luna, who chairs the Declassification of Federal Secrets task force in the House of Representatives, has been advocating for government transparency about UAPs since assuming her seat in 2023.
On the podcast, she noted that those who reported seeing unidentified objects often face stigma — especially military members, for which a UAP report could threaten their security clearance and credibility, she said.
Luna also alleged that lawmakers have been shown evidence of “interdimensional beings.”
“Without getting into classified conversations, there have been incidences where I believe very credible people have reported that there have been movements outside of time and space,” Luna said. “Based on the photos that I’ve seen, I’m very confident there’s things out there that have not been created by mankind.”

Luna has been known to peddle conspiracy theories during her rise to prominence, including about the deaths of President John F. Kennedy and child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. She has been a staunch supporter of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.‘s controversial “Make America Healthy Again” agenda as well as Trump’s mass deportation and detention program.
Days after the 2025 inauguration, Luna introduced a bill to carve Trump’s face into Mount Rushmore so that he could “be forever remembered among the great like Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt.”
