Marvel Studios and everyone who has been employed by it have a habit of dropping teasers and hints about the future whenever they can. It keeps the buzz going and the anticipation growing, but most importantly, it keeps the audience on their toes. The director duo of the Russo brothers who are helming Avengers Doomsday, just dropped a major hint regarding the film.
No strangers to posting cryptic messages for the audience to decode, the brothers posted a black-and-white picture of the set for the film. Seeing that they did something very similar for Endgame, fans on the internet took out their magnifying glasses and started breaking down the picture. Many came to the conclusion that the picture is just spelling out the word ‘doomsday’ with several objects that are in the frame. However, some argued that the Russos are trying to reveal something much more shocking.
Many fans argued that the triangle-like shape on the left side isn’t a ‘D’ for doomsday but an ‘A’ for Avengers. The chair in the middle makes the ‘V’, and the metal frame on the right side is the ‘V’. AvX, or Avengers vs X-Men, is an actual comic book event that occurred in 2012 in the issue of the same name. In the comic book version, the two factions disagree over how the Phoenix Force should be handled and then go head to head when no consensus is reached.
While these are all speculations, the fans have been right about these kinds of things in the past. We could be seeing the Avengers and X-Men go against each other, maybe due to some kind of manipulation by Doom. In the comics, at his peak, Victor Von Doom is almost omnipresent and is capable of taking control of people’s minds if needed.
Directed by Anthony J. Russo and Joseph Vincent Russo, the cast of the film will include stars like Robert Downey Jr, Pedro Pascal, Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh and more.
