It’s in the nature of superhero films to be mysterious right until the point of release, to maintain a certain level of shock and awe. Marvel almost always has to go to extreme measures in order to keep details about an upcoming movie safe and sound. Even then, a few things slip by, but this time, it seems that Marvel has let go of a very important piece of information. Apparently four teasers from Avengers: Doomsday, which were supposed to release with Avatar: Fire and Ash, have now been leaked and are currently the main focus of every comic book and MCU fan out there.

Reports from The Collider and many other sources suggest that four different teasers from Avengers: Doomsday are now in the wind, with three of them being focused on specific characters. The first teaser is reportedly about Steve Rogers, returning as Captain America. The distorted video that is making the rounds of the internet shows Steve getting off his bike and walking into the same home where he was seen living with Peggy Carter at the end of Avengers: Endgame.
We even get a glimpse of the suit and Steve and Peggy’s child, presumably Sharon Rogers, who assumes the role of Captain America on Earth-415 in the comics. While the authenticity of the video is yet to be confirmed, this won’t be that big of a stretch for the studio. Actors Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire lied for well over a year about their involvement in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and their role helped Marvel bag an important cinematic win after Endgame. They might be applying the same formula to Doomsday.

The two other character teasers are reportedly about Thor and Doctor Doom, with the latter being Robert Downey Jr’s first appearance as the supervillain. Even though Doom was there in the post-credits scene of Fantastic Four: First Steps, Robert Downey Jr’s face was never visible, so technically, we still haven’t seen him don the suit. The second teaser is about Thor, who might be playing a much more important role in the upcoming film than previously thought.

According to some reports, Captain America and Thor might end up being the lead stars of the film, which could be a saving grace or a very bad decision on the part of Marvel. Bringing these two back to take over the reins would mean that the studio is accepting their failure in establishing new stars since Endgame. The heroes who have been running the show ever since then are likely to return to the annexe, which could be disappointing for a lot of fans.
The fourth teaser is believed to be focused on the entire film, rather than one character. It will set up the narrative and the characters that are going to be taking this ride. It’s important to note that all of this information can end up being just rumours, and until any confirmation, it should be treated as such.
