Even though fans are excited about the final season of Netflix’s prized show Stranger Things, things aren’t really going well for some of the actors involved in the project. According to reports, actor Millie Bobby Brown has accused co-star David Harbour of bullying and harassment, and apparently she did this before they started shooting the last season. While the accusations haven’t been confirmed, this would explain Harbour’s absence from most of the promotions of the series.
According to reports by the Daily Mail, Brown, who plays the character of Eleven on the show, accused Harbour of being inappropriate towards her. No sexual impropriety was reported by Brown, and a long internal investigation took place in order to determine the truth. Of course this was happening while Harbour was going through a tough time in his marriage with singer Lily Allen. The couple ultimately went their separate ways in February of this year.
‘Pages and pages of accusations by Millie Bobby Brown’
A source close to the Mail said, “Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season. There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months.” Even though Allen’s new album is all about attacking her ex-husband for cheating on her during their marriage, she apparently supported him during the investigation.
Harbour plays the character of Jim Hopper, who actually adopts Eleven. The two characters don’t see eye to eye on a lot of things, but Hopper provides her with a home and keeps her safe. But ever since the allegations have surfaced, fans are speculating whether Hopper will have fewer scenes than previously planned. An old video of Millie has also resurfaced where the actor seems uncomfortable while talking about Harbour.
Before her wedding to Jake Bongiovi, Millie was talking to MTV’s Josh Horowitz, and she was asked whether Harbour was going to officiate her wedding. At first she seemed hesitant, and then she said, “Yes. I don’t know how I feel…sure. Matthew Modine, I think.” Interestingly, Modine plays the character of Dr Martin Brenner, who abducts and experiments on Eleven and makes her call him ‘papa’. On the wedding day, however, there was no confusion, and it was in fact Modine who officiated Millie’s wedding.
Lily Allen’s allegations against David Harbour
Lily Allen’s album, West End Girl, came out on October 24, 2025, where she references the infidelity she faced during her marriage with the actor. As per reports, Harbour allegedly had an affair with a costume designer who worked with Harbour on the 2021 Netflix film We Have a Ghost.

In songs such as Madeline, Tennis and P****y Palace, she talks of heartbreak, multiple instances of cheating, and obsessive control. She says that while they were in an ‘open marriage’, her partner practised manic control over her life. She has termed Harbour a “sex addict” in interviews. She also said that while not every lyric needs to be taken literally, they are a composite of “things I experienced within my marriage”.
Stranger Things season 5’s first part is set to release on November 26, while the second volume will release on Christmas Day. The finale of the season will come out on New Year’s Eve.
