Golden Globe Awards 2026 Winners LIVE Updates: It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a year since Emilia Perez and Shogun swept the Golden Globes, and that the time has arrived for the latest edition of the coveted award ceremony. The 83rd Golden Globe Awards are currently underway to honour the best in film and American television in 2025, with renowned stand-up comedian and actor Nikki Glaser returning as host for the second time in a row.
While Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another is leading the pack among movies this time with nine nominations, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Actor (Leonardo DiCaprio), Best Actress (Chase Infiniti), and Best Director, The White Lotus is dominating television shows with six nominations. Sentimental Value has clinched eight nods, while Sinners has seven; and among series, Adolescence stands second with five nominations, while Only Murders in the Building and Severance share the third spot with four nods each. Arriving less than a fortnight after the 31st Critics’ Choice Awards — where Frankenstein, Sinners, and Adolescence reigned supreme with four wins each, even though One Battle After Another won Best Picture — it needs to be seen if the Golden Globes will also witness a similar curveball.

Even as Frankenstein, Hamnet, It Was Just an Accident, The Secret Agent, Sentimental Value and Sinners are in fray for the Best Motion Picture – Drama award, the battle for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy is between Blue Moon, Bugonia, Marty Supreme, No Other Choice, Nouvelle Vague and One Battle After Another. Meanwhile, Oscar Isaac, Dwayne Johnson, Michael B Jordan, Jeremy Allen White, Jennifer Lawrence, Renate Reinsve, Julia Roberts, Timothée Chalamet, George Clooney, Ethan Hawke, Jesse Plemons, Rose Byrne, Cynthia Erivo, Amanda Seyfried, and Emma Stone are vying for top acting honours. While the Cecil B DeMille Award was presented to legendary English actor Helen Mirren, the Carol Burnett Award went to renowned actor-producer Sarah Jessica Parker.
Although no Indian project bagged any nominations this time, it’s not like the country won’t have any presence at the event, as actor-producer Priyanka Chopra Jonas is one of the award presenters.
